How We Build Apps — Transparent, No Surprises
We’ve shipped 120+ apps since 2019, so we know what kills timelines: unclear scope, slow feedback, and surprise costs. Our four-step process removes that risk. You’ll see working software every two weeks, approve each milestone, and keep full ownership. Here’s exactly how we take you from idea to live product—quickly, calmly, and without guesswork. Expect clarity, speed, and partnership always.

From Idea to App Store — What Happens and When
Each step has a clear duration, deliverables, your involvement, and tools. No black boxes. You approve before we proceed. Explore our services, recent work, pricing, or contact us at any point.

01
Step 1 — Discover: Align on Goals, Scope & Risks
We start with a free 30-minute discovery call where a senior product lead — not sales — maps your goals, users, and constraints. In the next 1–3 days we run lightweight research: competitor teardown, technical feasibility, and risk mapping. You get a fixed-price proposal with clear milestones, timeline, and what is out of scope so there are no surprises. We align on success metrics, user flows, and architecture choices before any design pixel is drawn. This de-risks budget and timeline upfront, which is why founders who come to us after a failed build appreciate the clarity. Everything is documented transparently so you can share it internally or with investors.
What happens in detail: we review your brief, existing assets, and target users, then pressure-test assumptions. If an offline-first desktop app or a PWA makes more sense than native, we’ll tell you. We also flag compliance needs like GDPR or App Store rules early, so launch isn’t blocked later. The outcome is a shared language between you and the build team.
Deliverables
- Refined scope brief & user stories with priorities (Must / Should / Could)
- Fixed-price estimate by milestone or capped weekly rate — your choice
- Visual timeline to MVP in 6 weeks and full launch plan to App Store
- Technical recommendations (stack, integrations, architecture sketch)
- Risk log & assumptions list so you see what could affect cost or date
Your involvement: One 30-minute call, one shared Slack channel, and async feedback on a Notion brief within a day. About 1–2 hours total. We handle the heavy lifting and send a Loom walkthrough so you can review on your own time.Tools in use: Slack for daily chat, Notion for the project board and docs, Figma for early sketches and flows. Code not yet started — we validate before we build.

Step 2 — Design: Clickable Prototype You Can Test
Week 1–2 is all about making the idea tangible before we write production code. Our senior designer creates user flows, wireframes, and a clickable Figma prototype that mirrors the final app so you can test it with real users early. We iterate daily: you comment directly in Figma, we adjust within hours, and we pause only when you approve. This phase locks down UX, design system, and key states including edge cases, empty states, and permissions. By validating design now we avoid expensive rework during development — a key reason we ship MVPs in as little as 6 weeks. You get a design system that engineers can build from without guessing.
What happens in detail: we map happy paths and edge cases, define components, colors, typography, and motion, then link screens into a prototype that feels like the real app. We run quick usability checks, often with 3–5 users, and refine. Once approved, the Figma file becomes the single source of truth, handed to development with specs and assets. No “interpret the design” gaps.
Deliverables
- Approved user flows & information architecture
- High-fidelity Figma prototype (clickable, shareable with stakeholders)
- Design system: components, tokens, styles, and iconography
- Validated build-ready task board in Notion with acceptance criteria
- Loom walkthroughs for each flow so you can review async
Your involvement: 2–3 short review sessions per week plus async Figma comments — about 2 hours total weekly. You approve flows and visual direction. We encourage you to share the prototype with users, investors, or your team for early feedback.Tools in use: Slack for quick feedback, Notion for tracking decisions and tasks, Figma for all design and prototyping. Your approval in Figma unlocks development — no dev starts without your sign-off.

Step 3 — Develop: Agile Sprints with Bi-Weekly Demos
Weeks 3–8 we build in agile sprints with bi-weekly demos so you always see working software, not just status updates. Each 2-week sprint delivers a demo-ready increment on a staging link, tracked transparently on your Notion board with Slack updates. Our senior engineers handle mobile, web, or desktop with clean, documented code in your GitHub from day one — no black box. We integrate CI/CD, automated tests, and analytics early, plus performance and security reviews each sprint. This fixed-price, sprint-by-sprint model means you pay per approved milestone and can pause or pivot after any demo. Most clients have a usable MVP around week 6, with the broader build completing by week 8.
What happens in detail: sprint planning in Notion, daily async standups in Slack, and a 45-minute demo every two weeks where you click through the live build. We cover what was shipped, what’s next, and any decisions needed. Code lives in your repository from commit one, with pull requests you can review. We also handle integrations, offline sync, push notifications, or store-specific logic in parallel so nothing is left to the end.
Deliverables (per sprint)
- Working increment on staging link + demo video recording
- Updated Notion board: burndown, backlog, and next sprint plan
- Code in your GitHub with documentation and test coverage report
- CI/CD pipeline, analytics & crash reporting integration
- Fixed-price invoice only after your sprint approval — no surprises
Your involvement: Join a 45-minute demo every two weeks, approve the sprint, and prioritize the next backlog together. Daily involvement is optional — Slack async handles quick questions. About 2–3 hours per sprint from your side.Tools in use: Slack for daily standup notes and blockers, Notion for sprint tracking and docs, Figma for any design tweaks, and GitHub for code, reviews, and deployments. You always know where time and budget went.

Step 4 — Launch: App Store Release + 90-Day Warranty
Launch is not a handoff, it is a supported release. We handle App Store and Play Store submissions, provisioning, store assets, screenshots, copy, backend deployment, analytics and crash reporting setup, and final QA on real devices. After go-live, you get a 90-day warranty where any bug we introduced is fixed free, plus monitoring for stability and OS compatibility. We then offer an optional care plan or a full handover — your GitHub, Figma files, docs, and credentials, fully yours with no lock-in. Many clients see their MVP live in as little as 6 weeks, with the broader build finishing around week 8, so you can start gathering users while we polish. We also prepare store responses and phased rollout plans if you need staged release.
What happens in detail: we run pre-launch QA, performance and security checks, generate store builds, and submit for review, handling reviewer feedback directly. Post-launch we monitor crashes, analytics, and reviews, and hold a retrospective to plan the next iteration. If you need scale, we stay; if you want to take it in-house, we onboard your team with docs and pairing sessions.
Deliverables
- Live App Store & Play Store listing (or web/desktop production deployment)
- Production backend, CI/CD, analytics (Firebase / Segment) & crash monitoring (Sentry)
- Handover pack: GitHub repos, Figma files, docs, runbooks, and credentials
- 90-day warranty: free fixes for any bug we shipped
- Optional care plan for OS updates, store compliance, and feature iterations
Your involvement: Final store approvals (Apple Developer account, store copy), a launch checklist review, and one post-launch retrospective to plan next iteration. About 2 hours total. We do the submission paperwork and reviewer liaison.Tools in use: Slack for launch coordination, Notion for release checklist and handover docs, Figma for store assets and final design polish. Your ownership is complete from day one.
